Arbitration is widely recognised as one of the leading forms of alternative dispute resolution, particularly within the international commercial sphere. In Malaysia, it continues to be the preferred mechanism for resolving disputes in sectors such as construction, maritime, and cross-border business transactions, where arbitration clauses are frequently incorporated.

Our Arbitration Practice has experience in ad hoc and institutional proceedings across international and domestic matters, involving complex contractual and technical issues. Our lawyers have acted in disputes relating to commercial agreements, construction and infrastructure projects, as well as offshore engineering. Recognising the procedural demands and complexities that may arise throughout the arbitration proceedings, our team supports clients through every stage, from initial risk assessment and pre-dispute advisory to advocacy during hearings. 

We are proficient with the rules and procedures of major arbitral institutions, having represented clients in arbitration proceedings conducted under the auspices of Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Asides from representing clients in international and domestic arbitration proceedings, our lawyers regularly appear before all tiers of the Malaysian courts in arbitration-related and post-arbitration applications. This includes anti-arbitration injunctions. seeking and resisting interim measures, the enforcement or setting aside of domestic and foreign arbitral awards, stay of proceedings pending reference to arbitration and challenges to jurisdiction.
