Cheah Teh Su Advises Bus Cap Berhad on Strategic Collaboration to Explore EV Charging Infrastructure and Related Services

We are pleased to share that our team, led by our Partner, Henry Tan Hup Yiak, has advised Bus Cap Berhad (“Bus Cap”) in connection with its strategic collaboration with Starcharge Energy Sdn Bhd, an indirect subsidiary of StarCharge Digital Energy Co Ltd, to explore opportunities in electric vehicle (“EV”) charging station infrastructure and related services in Malaysia.

The collaboration reflects Bus Cap’s strategic initiative to expand its participation in the EV ecosystem beyond vehicle manufacturing, with a view to exploring new business opportunities in EV charging station infrastructure, technical support, installation and maintenance services, as well as the potential localisation initiatives.

We had the privilege of advising Bus Cap on its initial public offering on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia. From prospectus preparation and regulatory submissions to post-listing compliance, we walked alongside the Bus Cap team through one of the most significant milestones in a company’s corporate life. It is particularly rewarding to see the company continue to grow and pursue new strategic opportunities.
