Samantha Siow San San is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department at CTS.
Samantha’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial disputes, with experience in shareholder and directors’ disputes, professional negligence, intellectual property, and construction matters.
She has acted in complex and high-value disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, breaches of directors’ duties, intellectual property disputes, , professional negligence claims, and banking disputes involving fraudulent fund transfers worth hundreds of millions of ringgit. She also served on the Malaysian Bar team in the judicial review proceedings challenging the Public Prosecutor’s application for a discharge not amounting to an acquittal in Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s Yayasan Akalbudi trial.

- Matter involving minority oppression (Ho Sue San @ David Ho Sue San v Hovid Bhd & Ors [2023] MLJU 2348)
- Matter involving defamation, breach of an agency agreement, copyright infringement and breach of confidential information (MRA International Sdn Bhd v SPC Diatech, LLC [2022] MLJU 100; MRA International Sdn Bhd v SPC Diatech, LLC [2022] MLJU 1215)
- Patent infringement and invalidation proceedings in the pharmaceutical industry (Merck Sharp & Dohme Corporation & Anor v Hovid Bhd [2022] MLJU 16)
- Cross-border matter involving goods sold and delivered and merchantable quality (Knit Textiles MFG Sdn Bhd lwn Asmara International Ltd [2021] MLJU 892)
Outside of practice, Samantha regularly publishes legal articles and contributed to Malaysian Court Practice – Appellate Courts (Issue 40). She is also active in advocacy and legal education, having judged moot competitions including the Tun Zaki Moot Competition.
Before entering legal practice, Samantha worked with LexisNexis on Rule of Law initiatives. She has also been involved in public speaking and social advocacy, including speaking at TEDx University of Nottingham Malaysia, and previously served as Head of Storytellers at Humans of Kuala Lumpur, leading storytelling initiatives focused on social impact.
She is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, and Cantonese.
