Andy Gan Kok Jin is an advocate and solicitor specialising in dispute resolution, with extensive experience in complex commercial, corporate and civil litigation matters before all levels of the Malaysian courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) and commenced his legal career at a leading corporate law firm. Upon completion of his pupillage, he joined Cheah Teh Su, where he developed a broad litigation practice acting for a diverse range of clients, including corporations, businesses and private individuals.

Andy has been involved in a wide range of high-value and legally significant disputes, including contractual claims, land and property disputes, judicial review proceedings, construction disputes and arbitration-related matters. He regularly advises clients on litigation strategy, manages complex proceedings and appears before the courts at all levels.

Notably, Andy has acted as lead counsel in proceedings before the Federal Court of Malaysia, where he successfully argued and obtained leave to appeal on novel questions of law. His experience includes conducting hearings, drafting written and oral submissions, examining witnesses and handling appeals before the appellate courts.

Beyond his legal practice, Andy is actively involved in the legal and sporting communities. He has represented the Kuala Lumpur Bar and the Malaysian Bar badminton teams in various inter-bar and sporting events.

He speaks English, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Mandarin.
